Our journey
Deptford United F.C. began as a parent initiative in 2015 at Deptford Fordham Park. In 2016, Patrick Caulker carried the vision forward, and we became a Community Football Club called ProPlus F.C. We provided services to children, youth, and families to develop all-around young footballers from South East London communities.
In 2018, the name was changed to ProPlus Sports Academy to provide a broad range of sports. However, the lack of facilities hindered this vision.
After COVID-19, the Club refocused on providing localised community youth football, and we became Deptford United FC, an FA-Accredited football club based in Deptford Park.

To avail opportunities to all young people in South East London, UK and the rest of the world, explore their potential through sports and prepare them to tackle life challenges.
Our mission
To inspire social change in children and young people by educating, coaching, and training them through the power of sports, helping them develop their life skills, have fun, and improve their well-being.
Our philosophy
‘Respect, love and thrive with discipline’ is our Club philosophy and symbolises everything we are about. There is no one individual more important than another. We all develop by helping each other; this is the greatest lesson we can implement as individuals, as a club and as a community. Our players & teams’ development is all derived from players, coaches, parents and friends in the community all pulling together in the same direction. Likewise, parents, coaches and community friends are also encouraged to promote our values alongside our players & teams.
